I have just finished putting together a list of songs that I'm going to have to compose for That Darn Smoker at some point for the score. There are going to be 16 pieces in all, so it's going to be quite a daunting task to complete. But the good thing about scores is that you can start on them before you actually film, so that's what I'm going to start working on before I start filming in the summer. I've got the general them melody in my head, and now that I know what individual parts I need to write, it should be fairly easy. I'll be using Finale 2007 with the Garritan Personal Orchestra, which really is a lot better than people say.
In other news, I am continuing to compile a detailed filming schedule for the summer so that I can just follow it each day instead of having to figure out what I'm going to do as I go, which could potentially cause some backups. I'm basically incorporating filming and set-building all in the same thing so that I can get done with it quickly. I'm a bit worried that with this filming schedule and deadline I need to meet, I won't spend enough time on setting up shots and making it look right. I don't know. I'll probably just have to see how it goes in June and sort of figure it out along the way.
Also, I am starting up preordering for DVDs for $6 (free shipping). PM me on Brickfilms if you want one. Also, you can preorder a CD of the film suite for $4, or order the DVD and CD together for $8 ($2 discount). I know this is a huge hype, but like anyone reads this blog anyway, right?
