Here's some proof as to how unprepared this project really is: I'm still editing my script with the start of production looming just a few weeks away. I guess that's okay, but I'm not talking about editing as in typos. But it's all for the better. Originally, I had copied the script pretty much word-for-word from the recording I made. My original intention before the announcement of the MoB Contest was to basically recreate what I had done in the original movie a few years ago. Even after the contest was announced, the script seemed fine. But as I started to read through it and heard about how everyone else's films were going to sort of be, a few parts of the plot started to bug me. So I changed a few things, and then I changed a lot of things. Now the plot is a lot more "meaningful," I guess, along with basically fixing the original plot holes. While making these revisions, the idea for a sequel popped into my head. I had had in mind that I might just do a sequel for the fun of it that wouldn't really relate too much to the first one (in fact, I was originally intending to rewrite the script for my failed FIG entry, "That Darn Smokin' Spotter"), but now a sequel is going to be required to tie up the loose ends I've added into the current film. So watch for TDS 2 coming out some time next year perhaps. Of course, to see what I've revised, you'll have to watch the film. No spoilers here!
As for my filming schedule, it seems like most of the summer is going to be free. Besides having to do some summer English assignments, I'll be pretty much free from Memorial Day through July 15, when I'm going to Colorado for a few weeks. After that, I'll basically have the entire month of August to get through with filming. I've basically planned out a day-by-day schedule up through the July 15 break, but I'm almost certain I'll get behind at some point. Thankfully the deadline isn't until just after Christmas, so I'll have a four months of backup if needed.
